Buns 'n Roses

Guinea, the amount of time and effort that you put into this really shows!  When I first saw this, I immediately thought of Richard Adam's book, Watership Down...it has been a long time, but it is a great read.

 

Once you arrived at the point of laying down the black slip, how long did it take you to do the illustration (if you don't mind me asking)?

"Watership Down" is practically my bible. The first time I read that book, I couldn`t put it down. I know most of the Lapine language and have made tons of fan art surrounding the mythos of Frith and Inlé. :3 I posted an ink drawing in my non-ceramic folder called "Dance of Inlé," and it remains a huge favorite of those who follow my work.

 

As for the illustration? Hrmm..probably around three hours in total. Single-color illustrations don`t take nearly as long as the full-color ones do. :3

I just remember the first time I saw the onomatopoeic term, hrududu, and laughed because it captures a motorized vehicle sound so well...that is the extent of my Lapine, but it obviously stuck with me.
