Ceramic Calico Cat Sculpture "Callie"

"Callie" the Calico Cat Sculpture was inspired by a stray cat that showed up at my door after his ' family' was forced to abandon their house during the beginning of our countries housing crises. I started feeding this darling cat and she became one of my many "adopted" outside kitties during these hard times. This was how I remember first seeing her looking at me, excited, hungry and just plain adorable. Even the stray animals that show up at my house have a place in my heart. I just can't take care of them all. This beauty was my outdoor watch cat for three years before she disappeared. I just have to hope she warmed the heart of another family who took her in.

As with all my creations, Caille is a handmade, signed, one-of-a-kind sculpture that can be copied, but not duplicated. Each piece is lovingly hand formed, as well as hand glazed with three to six coats to achieve the best color enhancement.
