I had some buff clay to reclaim, and a small amount of speckled buff. I mixed them together. Uh-oh, major bloatware! The buff would take firing over cone 5, but minor problems start when fired over cone 5 and get worse with more heat work. The speckled buff seemed more tolerant going over cone 5. Together, eeh, no.
First few glaze fires in the new kiln, too much heat work, well over cone 6. This is more like it, left to right is top to bottom, where there's a five cone on each plaque, five & six where doubled up.
