Mark: I have found EPK is a mediocre clay to begin with. Okay for glaze and fine particle filler for clay bodies: but not much else.

Ordered 50lbs of commercial grade-refined hectorite today. This is calcium based in lieu of sodium based. According to specs it should be similar to V-gum T: this should be interesting.

Stopped at a lighting store yesterday and picked up a variety of pendant light shades. Mold time for highly translucent crystalline glazed shades.

Just read the most directly applicable journal of clay platelet charges in relation to surface area: filled in the remaining blanks I had. I am a happy man.

Hahahaha that's what always happens to my plans. Today I shall throw! Clean the studio instead. Today I shall clean! Spend hours throwing. At this point when I decide what I want to do I should just laugh hysterically and go sleep under the studio table for a couple hours. ;)

Mt favorite part of Christmas. Only one stirring is me. Got two of my first thrown pieces in the kiln: waiting to see how they turned out. Merry Christmas.

I am off until Monday for Thanksgiving. Loaded my 16CF with all the thrown items to be bisq'ed. Threw the breaker- no power! Neighbors pole barn runs off my transformer, they shut it off this morning so he could unprade his power. It is raining, so I guess I will post in the forums all day!
