I fell into clay by accident in 1994, taking a clay class in order to add clay to the non-profit kids' art class I was teaching in the community center at the time. Like others, I fell under the spell of clay. I went on to build a studio in a remodeled former schoolhouse, hoping to launch a career in clay. Unfortunately, my personal life interfered, and currently I am living in another town away from my studio building. I am currently working to move back, and try again to get into clay. I started out doing cone 10 reduction in a gas fired 27 cf kiln, but plan to move down to cone 5/6 and low fire when I get up and running again.
