About Me

I taught and practised structural engineering to start with at Institute of Engineering of Tribhuwan University, Nepal. I have retired from the Government of Nepal services from the post of Secretary of Ministry of Physical Planning and Works with the Government of Nepal. My primary responsibility was and is infrastructure developments of Nepal. My current and past activities can be viewed at the website emcitconcrete.com.np.

The esteemed friends in ceramics will please note that I am a new beginer as a ceramist as I intend to develope my skills in this field as an amateur and my knowledge and skill in ceramics is that of a todler going to montessary for the first time. But since the world is so drastically adavanced that we can have knowledge given by many universities a one time. Hence I am learning mostly, rather, only from the net. Since I am already past 60 years, I would like to concentrate my hobby in the area of glazes in the unfired and clay bisques. I intend to start this field as there are no experts available in the field of ceramics in Nepal as far as I know. In the absence of any knowledge in glaze technology in Nepal, traditional potters are losing their profession.

In fact I went for graduate study in structural engineering as a Fullbrght Scholar to Clarkson College (now University) in 1976.

I enjoy trekking and have gone on a trek to many of the known trails of the country. I enjoy cooking, reading and writing.
