Looking forward to this years installation...."The art of Emotion"
All that I have learned as an artist is through the influence of other artists and skilled people I have observed throughout my life. Workshops in bead making, welding, glass blowing, sewing, wheel throwing, glaze development, watercolor techniques, etc, have improved my skills and has allowed me to achieve the desired effects needed to complete an art installation. There is an endless supply of inspiration around me! Nature, human experiences, and simply the human form are what I draw and create from. The Afghan women and their endeavor to survive and stay strong are humbling, which was the focus of my last installation. I was able to work on reliefs I wheel threw and altered for the Nomad exhibit in November of 2009. These sculptures allowed me to express through clay the beauty of Nomadic life and culture. I love dancers and their ability to move so emotionally, so they will be my models for my upcoming installation in Long Beach, CA titled "The Art of Motion". I want to thank you for checking out my site and hope that you are able to draw inspiration from my work.
