Mud Puppy Posted April 2, 2011 Report Share Posted April 2, 2011 I have been reading Japaneses Wood fired Ceramics by Kusakabe and Lancet. For anyone that wants to fall in love with wood fired pottery, this is the book! Well written and great photos. I have been looking for just the right Wood Kiln and I have found it, the Sasukenei Smokeless Kiln. So I thought I would start a thread for those that have built and fired the kiln and those wanting to. The first bit of infomation I would like to find is the number of bricks needed to build this bad boy. The book does not have this info, and I have asked a couple people that have build one and they all say they "dont know, they just used bricks they had". I have four over sized pallets of used hard brick, and any extra money needs to do into steel shelves and all, so its what i got or nothing.......
