jennypolak
Hi, I'm an artist with no real ceramics experience. I started to learn about slip casting and now because I have a show in June, I really want to try to complete one prototype - a simple bowl with a decal fired onto it - in the next few weeks. I've made a mold: I wonder if anyone on this list could help me with finishing and firing this project? I have a project budget. Thanks! Chris Campbell
Look on the index bar where it says Ceramic Arts Daily ... Click there then scroll down to topics ... There I found a main section about slip casting but there could be other useful videos on decals and such .... http://ceramicartsdaily.org/category/pottery-making-techniques/making-ceramic-molds/
GiselleNo5
I've done some slip casting with two-part and three-part molds. If you don't find the answers you're looking for in the Ceramic Arts Daily site feel free to message me. I'll be happy to answer any questions I can. bciskepottery
Have you checked for pottery studios in the Brooklynn area? Maybe one of the shops that offer pre-cast ceramics for parties, etc. and does slip casting and firing would be willing to help you. Try calling Bailey Ceramics and see if they could recommend anyone. They are in the NYC area.
