pam4arts
I want to make bird baths or outside snack bowls that will be able to pushin the ground. I have in the past made some medium size bowls with a ceramic nipple on the bottom. I then epoxied a 1/8" sturdy rod into the nipple. These were great sellers for me but a nightmare to transprt since the rods were permanently attached. I was wondering if anyone could share what thet use. I would like it to be as delicate as possibe but sturdy. Thanks.
Pres
I have made a few bird baths for family. I just add 3 solid straps or holes so they can be hung. You might consider a good thick thrown sleeve for your rod deep enough the rod fits in well, if too loose wrap rod with synthetic rope. Just a thought. Chris Campbell
Aftosa makes great bird bath supports that cover a range of sizes ... They are simple to use and inexpensive. http://ccpottery.com/untitled.html I have my birdbath on what they call a stake for a glass globe.
