A Studio For Animated, Kiln-Fired Apps. Ceramics And Tech Make Stories For Kids.

Recommended Posts

Hi all on the forum.  It's wonderful to see so much activity here.  Please let me introduce our project:

Brandy Gardner is a ceramic sculptor in California.  Goblinarium is her project, full of dragons and goblins.  It brings animators and coders together to publish interactive stories for kids.  It has an art exhibit in the lobby at Google in San Francisco, starting in May.

Her ceramic creatures are animated with a process that mixes fine art with modern technology and media.  It's experimental, so it will be exciting to see how it develops.

Brandy also teaches, bringing art back to schools where it has been taken away, working with inner city youth.  We want to make things they love and can learn from.

Goblinarium is 100% artist-driven and indie.  The Google exhibit is a step towards a crowd fund campaign to launch the studio.  The first demo app will release with the exhibit.  We hope this sounds interesting to you, and appreciate if you would visit our site and follow us on Facebook
Thanks,
Brandy and the Goblinarium team

I have moved this from in the studio, to events as it is on the borderline of forum rules. I have also removed a request for support, leaving the link for Facebook in place. It may be of interest to some of the browsers here as a connection to new technologies. However, the posters should be aware that there are strict rules regarding solicitation or sales on the forum. Otherwise we would be bogged down with adds and spam with little content.

best,

Pres

Thanks Prez...worthy causes or fun films aside, the diligence re; posting is much appreciated. It really detracts from a great online forum when it is allowed to be overrun with promos, solicitations, and spam. Of course, an exception perhaps should be considered in the case of Mr. Zappa, may he R.I.P.

That Zappa stuff is fantastic to see... there's not a lot like it.  Another influential project was the video game "Neverhood" from Dreamworks... one of the few or only games using stop-motion clay animated art.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Neverhood (Our stuff is art-driven by the way - we have nothing to sell yet!)
