richlinelwood
Hi. I bought an old Aamco pottery wheel. I thought I'd improve it by putting on a DC variable motor. Now I think I froze the gear box! Is there anyway I can get a gear box or something to use the wheel? Help! Andy
PRankin
I'm not an expert on wheel repairs but if you contact Amaco/Brent I'm sure they can advise you. Paul
Mug
The gear box, if you can find one, will probably cost more than it's worth. I would use the wheel parts and make it a belt drive to take full advatage of the motor, but thats a lot of work.
richlinelwood
Hey guys False alarm! One of pins that holds my bat stopped the wheel! She is spinning good for her age! I'll remember about the belt drive! While I'm here, Thank you! I'm new and love the site so far! Thanks Andy
Pres
There were several models of Amaco wheels out there. It would help in the future to post the model numbers. I also have an old Amaco-a mtorized kick wheel. It still runs great, but heavy to move around, and take up soooooo much space!
