Attached is the prospectus for the Workhouse Clay National 2015 at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton Virginia. 

 

This year’s juror is Anne Currier.  Deadline to apply is May 6th, 2015

Anne Currier is a ceramic sculptor and professor of ceramic art at the School of Art and Design, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute, Chicago in 1972 and MFA from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 1974. She has lectured and presented workshops throughout the U.S. and the People's Republic of China. Ms. Currier has been the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Virginia A. Groot Foundation. In addition to inclusion in many private and corporate collections, Ms. Currier's work is held in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC; the Renwick Gallery of the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution's, Washington, D.C.; the Contemporary Museum, Honolulu, HA; the Musee des Arts Decoratifs de Montreal, Quebec, Canada; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, CA and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Kyung-ju, South Korea. Anne Currier was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1950. She currently lives in Scio, NY with her husband, George Hrycun who is also an artist and educator.
