Marcia Selsor
I think only Josiah or someone from the now closed Wedgwood factory could make Wedgwood pottery. The technique is something else all together. Marcia
oldlady
eliza, are you asking a question about the use of sprigs on pots? that technique was used by Josiah and made famous by his factory. the technique of adding thin clay designs made in a separate mold is just called "sprigging". Josiah used a dark clay and made the sprigs stand out against the color. maybe you can find info about that technique in books from your local library, wherever you may be. painting white slip onto colored bodies is also effective. building up the surface with repeated layers of brushwork and carving is also nice. Eliza
Marcia and Oldlady thank you for answer. Pottery seem very interesting but the thing is I already have few hobbies... It happened I own wedgwood jasperware moulds (like the ones used in this video: ).I will auction them on ebay. This is niche product and I just thought I try to "advertise" this to the right people... Kind regards, Eliza
