ssamed
Hey everyone, I just picked up a Brent CXC wheel but it didn't have a pedal. is there somewhere I can get a pedal that will work for my wheel without spending $200 on a new one from Brent? Are there generic pedals that will work. I only paid $250 for the wheel so I'd like to keep my costs down. Right now I have it hot wired but it only spins at the highest speed, not ideal. Also, if I do order the pedal from somewhere, does it come with the cord or just the pedal? Thanks!
Marcia Selsor
Contact the Brent one off the distributors and ask. They should be able to get a replacement with a cord.Does the new one from Brent cost $200? See if you can get one from Bennett's Pottery Supply. Marcia
ssamed
I believe its $195 plus shipping. Yowser!!
Cavy Fire Studios
Cripe, $200?!! I coughed when I read that, haha... Check out if maybe a pottery supply place within driving distance of you has a used pedal they might be willing to part with. Holy smokes...I didn't even spend $200 on my whole wheel, haha! ssamed
No kidding! That's what I thought. there is a pottery place near by, but it is a commercial joint with just a bulletin board for used stuff. I tried to find one online, but the AMACO site is all buggy and doesn't even let me view what I am buying. Figures.
Dale pots
Well if you end up having to spend $200 more you still got a awesome wheel so your still ahead of the game compared to some of the lighter duty wheels! Hopefully you'll find a cheaper one.
Marcia Selsor
you are talking about a price for a Brent cxc new for $1187. So $200 for a pedal doesn't seem so bad. Marcia
Mark C.
I suggest you call Brent wheel service and ask to buy a used one. They get them in on a regular basis-used would work fine for you.I picked up some spare parts on e-bay so there is another source to look for as well. You could also post a want ad for one on potterbarteryahoogroup.Mark
ClayHouseStudio
Try calling Bailey Ceramic supply. They sell a lot of Brent wheels and have plenty of parts, they might be able to hook you up. Give them a call- 1-800-431-6067
