Cavy Fire Studios
OMG So, when I bought my Fred Kiln five years ago, the lady who sold him to me gave me a box of all her underglazes, posts, and overglazes along with him (she was a maijolica artist AND FREAKING AMAZING--look up Iva Talacko!), but I never really looked in there. What a treasure trove!! Old old glazes from American Beauty, and this stuff called Jacquelyn's Velva-Glo (ohhh, my inner ten year-old snorted at that name) that had a 75-cent stamp on the lid! Good night, when was the last time a jar of underglaze was THAT price? I'm gonna make a few test tiles to see if any of it is still any good! Chris Campbell
There is the reason I tell potters to appreciate the Paint Your Own Pottery stores ... they needed products that were the right color in the jar for their casual customer base ... those old under glazes would drive you crazy trying to remember that pink was really green and green would be orange or something! Thank goodness for Velvets!!
Cavy Fire Studios
Those underglazes look like they were made in the 60s-70s, haha...gold metallic label stickers with flourishing cursive, haha! I just paid $12 for my black underglaze in September, so seeing that $0.75 jar just cracked me up!

Marcia Selsor
I got a bunch of stuff when I bought an old A-88 Paragon. Kiln furniture was good, lots of boxes of cones were great. Some still had 75 cents as the original price marked. It is fun to find things like that. Marcia

Benzine
Check the labels for safety issues. Not likely Neil. Those bottles look so old, that the labels probably encourages that you smoke, while handling/ using the glazes.

Callie Beller Diesel
I find it especially funny, because my MIL used to do "ceramics", and I'm quite sure she's guilty of most of the above. (Probably never settled her husband in with a paper.)
