hi! im a beginner.

just started slip casting and im having an issue. everything is going well untill i remove parts from the molds, they all slowly turn brown as they dry. they look burnt. it is very strange. i purchased the slip that im using from a local ceramics supplier, and am using it as is.... is there somthing that i should be doing to it before i use it that will prevent this issue?

i hope the solution is something sill that i just dont know about because im a newb.

any input would begreatly appreciated! :-)

Something similar happened to me after I Darvan'ed a mis-behaving batch of porcelain slip, also

staining the moulds slightly. Maybe I over did the Darvan, or had kept the Darvan too long.

Maybe bisque one to see if it burns out (mine did). Preferably in a well vented kiln!
