Liquid Bright Gold Problem

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody,

I want to apply liquid bright gold to a porcelain and this happened (look the picture posted).
I cleaned the surface with 70% alcohol and everything is clean because I used new stuff. Why I have this problem where I can see some white spots through gold coat?

Can it be that this is a contaminated gold? I heard that this can be a problem.
Also, I see sometimes purple color.

I am new to this, so sorry for begginer's questions but if you have any other tip, please, be my guest

Thanks everybody who can help :)

Purple color can happen when you have thinner present in some way.  Cleaning residue, in the bruich hairs, or trying to thin the gold to get more coverage.  Or if the gold layer is WAY too thin.

Dust can cause spots.  As can overfiring.

Hey everybody,

I just want to ask something.

I use plastic syringe and sea sponge so I can get a perfect line. I pour 2 or 3 drops of gold on top of the syringe
and it flows through the sponge.
Could it be the plastic is the problem, because a friend of mine used it in front of me with the glass syringe and with the same gold
and he hadn't the same problem as I have. And all porcelain is cleaned the proper way.

If you can help me, I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks again and all the best. (Sorry for my English. It's not my first language) :D
