Mark C.
I bust them up right from the glaze fire. Mark
ayjay
Geez, I wish I had some fence posts!! I don't use my own fence posts: the New Forest (140 square miles designated a National Park) just up the road a mile or so has plenty.
Chantay
When I painted I hardly ever showed others my work. I tried to explain to someone that it was like displaying your undergarments on a nail on the wall. With pottery it is not so bad. If it isn't pretty perfect, it never even goes into the bisque. When I empty the kiln for a glaze fire, the trash can and hammer are right there for cracks, drips, etc. Some times a piece sits around for a while if I want to contemplate the glaze and the form. when working on a new form or shape, they end up in the kitchen.
