Bouncing off Rebekah’s topic of First Show I’m wondering what peoples go to display props are? Out of all the things I’ve tried my favourite is the Flexi Stand from Axner. They work on large pieces, are adjustable and unobtrusive. Anybody else have anything that really works?

my puck lights are from home depot.  they are supposed to stick to bottom of the shelf above the one you want to light.  i found that the velcro sticks to the wood shelf but the weight of the light and possibly the heat(?) made the lights fall down.  those batteries are heavy.  only used them once.  the light is concentrated in a circle that depends on the spacing of the shelves.

you can see these things in operation in new model homes kitchens and at home depot where they demo kitchens.  those are from 18 inches above so they seem just right at that distance.

I'm still doing a single booth myself, and they're more for highlighting some points. They're a nice touch n the dark of a night market, but not my only source of illumination, no. They do fall down if they're suspended by the adhesive they come with, but I find uplighting can be used to good effect, as well.
