neilestrick Posted June 3, 2014 Report Share Posted June 3, 2014 Screen, sieve, and mesh have always meant the same thing in my experience. What varies is how they define the mesh size. Sometimes it'll say 35-50 like your bag there, which means they first passed the material through a 35 mesh screen to get all the big stuff out, then passed it through a 50 mesh screen to get all the small stuff out. You'll also see things listed like '50 and fines', meaning they only passed it through a 50 mesh screen, so you're getting everything that's 50 mesh and smaller.
