clay lover
Do you get different readings from Self supporting cones versus a cone pack of regular ones? There is something in MC6G that suggests they might show different readings. It says, "tip touching for a cone pack, or a ss cone at 4-5 o'clock". As many times as I have read that book, I just saw this yesterday. Has anyone ever used both for comparison?

clay lover
Thanks for that link. It looks like on the chart for ^6 the numbers are within 2-3 degrees from SS versus regular large. I got the impression from the book that it was as much as half a cone.
GEP
I've never done a side by side comparison. The only thing I've noticed is the self-supporting cones cost a lot more :-)
