grizzbiz15
I hope this is the right place to post this question.....I was planning to purchase Ceramics Monthly to read on my iPad and to have the magazine handy while in my clay work area. I was reading the reviews for it in the iTunes Store and came across a review stating that you couldn't look at back issues after reading them. Tell me this isn't true! I want to be able to look at back issues for ideas, inspiration, ways of doing things, etc...
Pugaboo
I have a digital subscription to Ceramics Monthly and read it on my iPad. I just went and checked and the 2 issues I have received so far (it's a new and recent subscription) are both sitting in my newsstand. I just opened up last months and read a few pages shut it switched to this months and read a few pages then switched back to the previous month once more with no issues. I hope this continues for all the remaining issues as I really like reading my magazines on my iPad. It was kind of a test subscription for me to see how it goes. I have the paper subscription to Pottery making illustrated but if I am still happy with the digital subscription of CM I am going to switch to that when I renew. I really like having several magazines on my iPad that goes everywhere with me it's so much easier than lugging magazines everywhere. It also means I don't have to store mountains of magazines somewhere as well. I hope this helps you make a decision. Terry
PSC
When the next os for the mac comes out it is suppose to have ibooks, i'd be more inclined to digital subscriptions if i could download and store them on my mac, my ipad doesn't have a lot of free storage. Diane Puckett
Storage is an issue, especially when more memory is needed for something like an iOS update. I also have difficulty seeing details, as the page does not enlarge as do mags on Zinnio. The photos are nice, and there are lots of them. I also have PMI. For some reason I must download each individual page, including pages of ads. They are very slow to load, so it takes a long time to download an issue, long enough that I sometimes don't even bother. I have a very high speed connection and do not have this problem with anything other than PMI. I have about thirty years of CM and would love to have an e-gadget that would store them all in a searchable format.
grizzbiz15
Thanks for the responses. I think I'll give it a try and see what happens. I hope it works out because I would really like to be able to read it and refer back to the different issues for inspiration and ideas.
Mark C.
CM has a disc with all the old issues on it if I recall-that should fit onto your e-gadgit. At least better than my 40 years of CM's stored in boxes. Mark

Guest Sherman
Hedy, I'm not sure why you would be seeing that; this is the first I've heard of that happening. We have the one-year subscription for tablet set at US$24.99, and each issue at US$4.99, and the app stores should be calculating the exchange-rate price adjustment automatically. Whenever something is odd with an app, it can be due to installation problems. If you delete the app, shut down your device all the way (don't just put it to sleep), start it up and re-install, that may clear up whatever is going on. I hope this helps. Let me know.
