neilestrick
Ditto. The best thing you can do to make it easier to clean your brushes is to make sure the wax never dries on the brush, even a little bit. Put the brush in water when you're not using it. The wax sold by Ceramic Supply rinses out clean with just water.
Min
Dampen the brush with water then put a drop of dish washing liquid on the brush (work it in a bit) prior to using for wax. After using rinse in hot water, I then put them on the top level in the dishwasher. Last part is probably redundant but they come out with zero wax on them. I use damp sponge pieces for most wax application then toss them when done. I only use brushes for awkward to wax areas like on french butter dishes etc.

weeble
The pottery group I work with has several designated 'wax' brushes, then we clean them with hot water and a squirt of 409 right after use. They're oil painting brushes with the stiffer bristles and I know a few of the older ones pre-date my time with the group and I've been there over 15 years... Chris Campbell
I keep a couple brushes aside just for wax ... Magic marker on them so as not to forget. If you want to use the brush for other things a good idea is to dip it in liquid soap before you use it for waxing. This makes clean up easier.
