Ceramic arts daily has an app called daily clay where each day you get a different photo of a piece along with a little info about it. It's really neat but ever since I updated the operating system on my iPad to the 7.0 version the pictures aren't coming up all I get is a double box icon where the image should be. bciskepottery Posted October 1, 2013 Report Share Posted October 1, 2013 Few (if any) apps are written by Apple, Microsoft, Google; they are generally written by third parties and offered for sale/free download from Apple, Microsoft, etc. That said, I get more than enough of CAD from here, don't need them on my phone. Guest Sherman Posted October 1, 2013 Report Share Posted October 1, 2013 Everyone, This issue is actually not related to iOS7 (I have it on my phone and it functions perfectly). However, the recent server issue we've been having caused some images to not load properly. While there does not seem to be any way to reload them besides killing the app and relaunching, it looks like it is working properly now. Not sure if it was going to be porn because I caught it in the url and hit the back key before the re-directed page was fully loaded. When I reentered the CAD url though all was well. CAD = Computer Aided Design/Drafting and so for last 40+ years. Stephen, for start, clear your browser cache and delete this site relate cookies. If you get more redirects, let the staff know. bciskepottery, I wrote "any product", and this means any software AND hardware, including what ever cr** those guys ream up next. Cheers! Pugaboo Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 I ended up deleting the app since all I was getting was the double gray box and no images. It got annoying to have it tell me I had a new piece to see only to get in and have nothing. I will wait a few weeks or a month and try downloading it again to see if it works. I'm new to clay and really enjoyed seeing all the different pieces an a bit about them. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with my Ceramics monthly and Pottery making Illustrated magazines for now. Pinterest is also a good place to find random unexpected pieces. Guest Sherman Posted October 13, 2013 Report Share Posted October 13, 2013 Everyone, This issue has been addressed now, and the app should be functioning properly (in time to not have lost access to any but the one offending image (there was an issue with it playing will with the app that was not apparent during the preparation and loading into the database, but once the image cleared, the rest of the images for the week showed up just fine.
