Marvin Horn
I have an opportunity to purchase a used pugmill, however it is a 100mm Venco which is much larger than my needs. Am I adding more problems than I'm solving by buying a unit this large for my hobby studio? I know I can throttle the unit back some by blocking the screen but I still see myself running only short periods for my requirements. Any help would be appreciated. clay lover
My only comment would be that my pugmill doesn't work nearly as well when it is not truly full. Don't know why. I have the smallest Peter Pugger, holds approximately 24Lbs. A larger one would not be so convenient for me in my 1 person studio.
Marcia Selsor
I have a small Bailey. It is more the size of the Venco 87. If you use the larger pug mill occasionally you would need to keep the clay moist that remains inside. That would be the biggest concern in my opinion. My bailey is easy to take apart to clean. I clean it after every use. Marcia
Mark C.
This model outputs 1200#s per hour-not for the hobbist-I would pass and get one that matches your needs. Mark

Mark Ha, that's all I use in a year, in my classroom! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I suggest tracking down an old Walker pugmill. I loved the one I had, at my second teaching job.
