clay lover
I am looking for a commercial glaze that will fire at ^6 and be gold metallic, really shiny. Are any of you using such a glaze? I have tried Potter's Choice 'Gold' but it is not really metallic . not so shiny. Or is there a low fire that I would refire to put on a ^6 glazed pot? New to this idea and looking for advice! oldlady
contact each of the big name producers of commercial glazes. Mayco, amaco, Duncan, etc. they all have something to do what you want.
Chris Campbell
I agree with Trina that lusters would be the answer ... but gold will be an expensive answer. I've used white gold to do accents and highlights but never the whole item.
