This is cool ... someone has created an award for creative entrepreneurs. For those of you with professional studios, nominate yourself for this award!

http://www.marthaste...om/americanmade

Looks like a good way to get some free exposure on a very attractive and popular website, and the chance to win $10,000. The application is really easy. Deadline is August 25, 2013.

Mark, I think you should nominate yourself too. Whether you are a fan of Martha Stewart or not, check out the businesses that won this award last year. They are really impressive. I'm just glad someone has come up with a way to give some recognition to people like this.

Martha is a woman who built a business empire from the ground up, went to jail and served her time without whining or tweeting pictures of herself, got out of jail and went back to work. Yes, actually took responsibility for her actions. There is a lesson here for several hundred currently "famous" folks.

Beautiful work, both Chris and Mea!   Mea, what clay body do you use?   Chris, are you firing to cone 6?

Unfortunately I can't participate (nomination) because I'am living in Switzerland. But I surely will vote for Chris and Mea and all forum members (if multiple voting is possible). Good luck to all nominees!

Well, I entered too.! Here is my link:

It was an interesting process and answering a few of the prompts made me think hard about what I am doing, etc. so it was worth it.

The voting is open as of today. I tried to visit the site earlier today but it was down, maybe from too much traffic. It seems to be working again now. You can vote up to six times per day, every day, until September 13. So yes, you can vote for all of your CAD Forum buds!

If anyone else here filled out a nomination, please post a link here. Good luck everyone!

Thanks for your votes Pompots! None of the links were working well yesterday so it was kind of a zoo. Seems better today.

I voted for Mea at Good Elephant today.
