About every month there are about 8 or 9 of those types of campaigns starting and maybe 10% of them get funded because 'oh, throw it up there and it gets funded right?' ... wrong. Involve your community around you. they will be the primary ones to buy your work, and they will be the ones to fund the work. Otherwise I hope your project is under $5k and you make phenominal work ... cause it's an uphill battle to not only fund your kiln but to make the work you are offering in exchange for the funds. Denice Posted August 9, 2013 Report Share Posted August 9, 2013 Have you thought about repairing the kiln, my new kiln is 20 years old and my oldest one is 40. They don't have the digital controlls but I control the firing with a portable dual digital pyrometer set up.
