New to Group/New to Ceramics

Hello

Happy to have found Ceramic Arts Community!

I have recently fallen in to some molds, and other ceramic equipment and am excited to get started. I am located in Michigans Upper Peninsula and am looking for a slip supplier. Any recommendations?

Thank you

Kena

Welcome. As a relative newcomer myself, I can attest that this is one of the most helpful boards I've been on.

Can't help you with a slip supplier... but if you PM me, I can send you the email of a friend who worked and did clay in the U.P. for three years.

I can also sing a couple verses of 'Second week of Deer Camp' if you like! (Da Yoopers)

Hi and welcome!

The first thing you should do is read some books about molds and slips and such. It will save you a lot of time and aggravation. Check out the CAD area by clicking on the tab at the top of this page. You might find videos as well as books. Good Luck to you and mostly have fun!
