vivk
Hi all I am new to this forum so feeling "newish". Would anyone like to share their recipe for a clear gloss glaze using potash and whiting? I used various percentages of these and had a bit of crazing. Should I add boron - google research suggest this as a solution to crazing. All ideas welcome. Many thanks!

I presume it is a local clay found in Cornwall? Also could you tell me what EPK is?
Marcia Selsor
Cornwall stone. It is English. Here is a Canadian way to substitute Cornwall stone from Digital fire. http://digitalfire.com/4sight/education/substituting_cornwall_stone_194.html G 200 is a potash feldspar. John255
Vivk, That formula looks quite low on alumina with only 5.5% EPK? Here is another simple one that works very well as a clear base for colors at ^6. Silica 20%, Kaolin 20%, Feldspar 20%, Wollastonite 20%, 3134 20%. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.
