I have spent an hour looking for this topic on CAD and visiting various websites for ceramics suppliers, with no luck. I am trying to find a high temp sculpture wire that can be used inside a 1/2" clay coil to provide some strength after the firing. I like to make tree branches (see attachments), but they are vulnerable to breakage from careless handling after they are finished. Also, I don't know what gauge wire I need. Too thick, and it would probably be difficult to bend, but too thin and it would probably not offer much strength. Any suggestions for sources and gauges?
thanks, Jayne

You might have to order online and have it ship it to you. Google nichrome wire and you will find lots of stores that sells it.
