Looks like we have Pres as our new moderator.
Wonder if hes on the council board now?
Maybe he knocked off the last guy on a foggy night with his clay bat?
Or maybe its a payola deal and hes sending in hats fulls of money.
Maybe he likes to read our dribble fighting about what wax works best

I saw Pres had a "Moderator" title, which is awesome, because when I start wandering off topic, I tend to drag him with me....

Cheers Pres!

Congrats, Pres. Hope it doesn't get to be too much work to interfere with the pleasures of retirement.

OK, OK, now that someone has noticed. . . No, I don't think I am on council; I think that is and elected position. Yes I am moderator, have been asked to take the place of previous one as for some reason or other he was not able to continue. Yes, I am really happy to be doing it, and hope to do a good job, and maybe not get dragged off topic too too often. Yes I get a few perks, subscriptions and such, but would have done it for free as I enjoy being here. I really didn't know as announcing it was proper, so just let it come this way.

You will do a good job Pres. I could also see you as being a moderator on the Education board as well. That would be a perfect fit for you.

Isn't there some sort of hazing ritual that new moderators have to go through?

I'm trying to think what that would be? Dealing with an insane amount of idiotic, nonsense posts, i.e. pretty much everything that I "contribute".

I thought I went through that the first night when I had 3 spams show up at one time. . .had to hurry and pull up the manual and search for how to get rid of Spam.

Pres,

Didn't they tell you about going back through all the posts from the past year and correcting all spelling and grammar mistakes?

No, I must not have gotten that memo. They tried to explain something about splitting hijacked topics, but then said that every topic was hijacked. . . forget it.Posted Image

Thanks Jim, and thanks to everyone for your support. I'm rather nervous and awed with the company of moderators here. I have been here many years looking for answers, and found many of great value. I hope I can do as well as they have in the past. This community is a great place to be and a great connection to others that love mud.
