poeticjustice78
Hello everyone, I am brand new to clay after taking a small class at a bead retreat here in Australia. I have a heap of pieces made that are beads, pendants etc for jewellery, and it is all dry ready for firing. I have a bit 20 year old kiln here from Tetlow (an Aussie brand) and it is manual. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how you use it as I am not familiar with the dials at all. One knob has 0-100 in increments of 10's the other has a horizontal sitting numbered semi circle with numbers 0-1200 going up by 200's and a twist dial with numbers 0-12 and X 100 under that. I am unsure what they should be set to.. I also make glass beads so will be using it to anneal them at around 500 egrees and also the clay pendants at around 1000. and how long should I fire from greenware to bisque for? Thanks in advance
