Ha! I too live in The Hawkeye State, though, I'm closer to Cedar Rapids. That much Raku clay is tempting. I think it would take me years, to go through it.

Yeah, I'd say it would about a three hour drive, each way.

I was tempted, just not sure I wanted to drive that far, for clay. Now, if you had an electric wheel for sale, I'd drive that far.

Who is your professor?


I had to look it up in Google maps as I had no idea...
Professor was Maureen Seamonds, that was a few years back, she's a great lady. She was the founder of a medical supply company which she started as she has a son with multiple disabilities. http://www.mymedmart.com/aboutus.htm


"Mo" from Iowa Central? I've talked to her before, when I taught in the area. She wanted my students to participate in an art show, but I already had them committed to another show. One of my current co-workers had her as an instructor, and the guy I learned Raku from, in turn learned from her.
