This week will allow each student a chance to focus, explore, and expand his or her artistic and creative self. This workshop is especially helpful to those who have basic throwing skills, and is designed to encourage the development of new skills and techniques, the goal being that you will be able to fire work in electric, gas, and raku kilns. Trained in materials engineering at Purdue, he also holds a BA from California State and an MFA from Arizona State. Joe currently works as an artist educator for a wide range of audiences ranging from kindergarten students to senior citizens. He has done artist-in-residency work, and has taught ceramics to students at all levels and for many arts and cultural organizations.
