Extended Weekend Workshop

This workshop will focus on the teapot and its history, function, and design. We will work toward bringing together all of the elements of this complex form with the goal of creating a balanced and thoughtful design. I will demonstrate various methods for making and assembling bodies, spouts, lids, and handles using both wheel throwing and slab construction. We will explore ways to bring together multiple forming processes within an individual teapot. Participants will be encouraged to develop or enhance their own designs through research, drawing, and experimentation. Click on the workshop title to learn more, and click here to view the entire 2013 catalog. For 25% campus lodging discount type EarlyBird2013 when signing up.
