EricaTaylor
Hi, I'm in search for some a good clear or white for Laguna's b-5 clay. I've used underglaze with another clear before and It seemed to make the piece darker, a little more amber colored than clear really. What I'm trying to do is use underglaze for design and have the design be over vibrant white (not sure if I'll use it on bisque or greenware yet). If b-5 isn't white enough then i'm thinking maybe I'll need to switch to a Laguna cone 5 porcelain and just buy clear glaze... Any suggestions? I've only bought pints of pre mixed glaze but I'm interested in buying the dry form just for easier dipping.
bciskepottery
You could try adding a white/porcelain slip over the items, then apply your decoration on top of the slip, and then glaze in clear.
