Pam S
How does one safely dispose of glaze? Are there local restrictions? Thanks, Pam
AndyL
How does one safely dispose of glaze? Are there local restrictions? Thanks, Pam I don't dispose of glaze. I make a bucket I label Mystery Glaze and dump test batches, unwanted or contaminted glazes into it that are the same cone. Usually I'll glaze some pieces from this. Pam S
This particular glaze is called "shale". It is butt ugly in the raw state and even uglier once fired. A total waste of good materials. If you have ever seen the movie Labrynth, this glaze belongs in the "bog of eternal stench!
AndyL
I ususually get a green from my mystery glaze. I haven't tried this myself but try experimenting with wedging some of your spoils into your clay body and fire bricks made out of it.
