Hourly Earnings For A Potter, Part 2

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

The second installment of my year-long research project is now on my blog. This time I am comparing the hourly earnings of two different wholesale orders, one that consists mostly of everyday functional pots, and one that consists mostly of my "fancy" line of work.

My blog location has changed! I have combined my website and my blog into one address: http://goodelephant.com

Thanks for all the positive feedback that I have received about this project so far!

Thanks Chris, yes it's a lot to think about for sure.

btw, the reason I combined my website and my blog was because of the advice you posted on this forum recently, to make sure the front page of your website is always changing. Also, I realized that my blog is more popular than my website. So now my blog is the front page of my website. I think it works!

The dynamic of what is called "positioning" as they say in marketing is that you prominently display you very best "fancy" work but then have plenty of work priced to sell quickly which reflects similar designs, motifs, etc. My brothers complaint is that his $1000 pots don't make as much annual income as the potter across the way who sells $50 pots.
