Pressure tests at the studio

Recommended Posts

We are a group of 4 ceramicists that share a huge 600 sq meter studio in our city. At meetings we always complain that we never have time to make 'new' stuff. Growing our portfolio of work. There is always orders to complete, kilns that crash, etc.

Anyway, we decided to have these little 'pressure' tests. Once a month we will draw a project out of a bag. By mid month we have to have the item dry and ready for firing. End of the month we each have to show a new prototype. This could be included in our product range, and be beneficial to us all. But by having a little 'contest' we are all forced to make something new every month.

I decided to start a blog about this project. If you want to read about us and it: http://theclaycollective.blogspot.com/

We have uploaded another entry on the blog. There has been much action behind the scenes, and lots of discussions in the studio. The consensus is that our little test to come up with new work is actually working. The probable June project was discussed today!
