Tamara
Very new to this art form, normally work with metal and glass. I have low fire clay and accidentally got some high-fire glaze. Never even noticed until I fired them to the cone indicated and the glaze come out ruff/fuzzy not glass-like as it should. Will this glaze ever work on my clay? neilestrick
Nope. In order to fire hot enough to melt that glaze you'll melt the pots, too. Clay and glaze must be formulated to mature at the same temperature.
