I am in need of a few good books that have 1740-1790 ish  pottery pictures for North America.  Stoneware, red ware, earthenware. Mugs, tankards, plates and crocks are what my main interest is at this time. Any advice before I buy and just hope it’s a good book is much appreciated. Thanks.

for something this specific, i would contact a museum in an area where pottery was made during those years and ask what they use for research.

You might want to check out the annual book series..." Ceramics in America ", By Hunter (I have about 7 issues) and On the Facebook "Research of Ceramics" - with Justin Thomas... there is a featured vessel and the archives on the inside page!
