Oldmuddy
I'm planing on doing a hours sculpture from porcelain but very concerned about building without an some scort of internal armature. Any suggestions? Would this even be possible without using a mold? Thanks
liambesaw
Not sure porcelain is the best medium for sculpting horses. What size are they? If they're large you can sculpt solid and then hollow out after, if they're pretty small you can maybe carve them most of the way and build small supports to keep them from slumping\deforming and then use a Dremel afterward to cut off the supports. I don't think you could use a wire armature inside of porcelain, the porcelain would probably shrink away from it and the wire would probably stain black, but I'm sure there's more experienced folks here that will point you in the right direction
