does half a percent really matter?

Recommended Posts

just opened a firing of things for a museum show in winchester, va this weekend.   lovely surprise, everything is great!

wanted to share the results of adding half a percent of stain to a base glaze recipe Min sent me when i was trying to find a clear glaze without zinc.  nearly all mason stains have chrome in them and it is affected by a zinc containing glaze.  i have tried for many years to make a purple glaze and have finally got what i wanted.   THANK YOU, MADELINE!!!!

i tried to add a new album to my gallery but the directions have changed and i do not understand them.   sigh...........

Green stains quite often have chrome, the purple works because your new base glaze has lots of calcium.

Glad you got the results you were looking for, have a great sale!
