Mmac
I was given a pottery wheel and was told it needed a drive cone. It runs and currently a 1/2 inch shaft runs along the rubber on the drive plate. Stepping on the pedal lifts the motor up and sideways. I am looking for the brand, a photo or whatever will help me find a drive cone for this. Here is a photo of the inside. Hoping someone has some info for me. Thank you
Mark C.
This looks like an old shampoo wheel to me. You need the cone that goes over the motor shaft A photo of the cover would help-I can see it in the background but not the top. What country are you located in? Mmac
Here is a picture of the cover. There are names or numbers on it, but we also thought it was probably a Shimpo. I live in Canada.
Pres
Looks like to me it is cone or puck drive. Seems like I have seen the footprint style foot pedal somewhere before, but cannot recall where. Poor memory. best, Pres
neilestrick
Doesn't look like any Shimpo I've seen. I also remember seeing that foot pedal before, but can't remember where, either.
Rae Reich
Such a cute little wheel! That foot pedal looks like it was thought up by a surfer - hang ten!
PSC
I thought it kinda looked like a shimpo but it kinda doesn't, kinda like shimpo inspired or maybe it inspired shimpo. Maybe something from the 60's or 70's with the goovey footpeddle...tho i have seen car footpeddle replacements in the shape of a foot so maybe it is a replacement.
