nancylee
Hi, I make custom urns and have some issues because some of my glazes are tempermental - they flow more, they flow less, and I let my customers know this. Some people either don't read what I write or they don't care, because I do get people who get angry because the glaze doesn't look exactly like it did in the picture. So I am thinking of using stencils. I fire to cone 5, and my local pottery supply recommended I make the urns, then offer them for sale with the stencils. That way, they can see the exact urn they are going to get. But they don't sell stencils and I am having trouble finding letter stencils for pottery. I am finding letters I can push into raw clay, which I do now, but can't find stencils that go on during a cool fire after the glaze fire. Can anyone help? And if you have any tips on this, I would appreciate it! Nancy
Min
Try doing a search using decal rather than stencil for places like this or laser printer ones you make yourself might be an option if sepia coloured script is okay.
