chanche
Hello, Can you please tell me how to make speckled clay body, not a glaze? Or, if there is anything about it from previous topics to send me a link? Thank you in advance!

Magnolia Mud Research
I slam wedge small amounts of locally dug crushed dry yellow and orange clay into cone 10 porcelain. Take about a quarter of a 25 pound bag of clay, slice into half inch slabs with a wire tool, sprinkle the dry local clay on the slab, slam another slab on top, sprinkle dry local clay on the top of the stack, slam a pure slab on next, and so on. Then slam wedge the whole mass about 10 times, then use the clay. If you wedge too much you will lose the 'speckle' to a more uniform 'tint'.
