Kaolinwasher
I am working on making a flambe blue celadon from the class 5 gravle i get from the road. I use 50% milled gravle sand. add some calcium carbonate, bone ash, feldspar, talc, kaolin, and a bit of veegum, the two pictures are the same glaze the light green matt is laking flux so i added just 2% more cacium carbonate and on the retest got a nice flame blue, still needs some adjustment. the class 5 gravle has 3.51 iron in it . along with .55 titanium wich i figured would never give a blue but on the retest to my suprize it was blue
