Qotw: What Movie Best Describes Your Adventures In Clay: And Why?

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

Glazenerd posted a question in the question pool asking: What movie best describes your adventures in clay: and why?

This one I will have to think about for a while, off the top of my head it is like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, constant chaos, questing after an elusive end, where in the end you seem to end up where you started.

'Mmmmm?  Guess I have to think about this a little more.

best,

Pres

Does Norway's Slow TV count?

If not then I would like to believe its "Fast and Furious" but then its most likely "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

This is so confusing

Terri" there are two classic scenes in Blazing Saddles: if you are thinking of either>>>. I'm telling!!!

When I first started in clay:  "Field of Dreams".... I was full of hope and possibilities.

After a few years it was: Forest Gump... seems like I kept fumbling through until I found success.

The last two years: " A Beautiful Mind".. I wake up in the wee hours with clay talking to me..... someone book me on Dr. Phil please!

I just signed up for an expensive ceramics course.

In light of this, I will most likely be enjoying a legume based cuisine for some time and perhaps in the same rarified atmosphere as depicted in the fine dining scene of the film, Blazing Saddles. The course is to be taught at a small western community reminiscent of the charming village seen in the movie. As a bonus, this pure & natural form of nourishment that I shall be living on enhances my creative impulses, helping me to produce pots that exhibit a  sensation of warmth in design emanating from the base and enveloping my creations ever upwards.

Soylent Green, The Road Warrior, and Sleeper (woody allen).

Also a bit of the Little Mermaid, just for variations of color and it always makes me think of the "greatest phone message of all time" which I will link here if you want to hear it and the story about it:

Warning: https://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/203/recordings-for-someone?act=1#playThis has nothing to do with art and has some friendly cursing, it's also a great radio show if you don't know that already and you should listen regularly. ^_^
